farewell to fly/happy anniversary....

Foreward : last year I kinda gave my wife the business when she forgot about our anniversary.

I returned from a busy day at work to our snow bound home clueless to the fact that today was our anniversary. An empty home left me wondering what to do with myself. "Me" time is a rarity in my life since we have three young kids. Decided to shovel out the thick wall of snow created by plows recent drive-by. In Ypsilanti we just received over 10" of fresh snow just in time for Christmas. After finishing the job I was contemplating a snow round but for some reason I decided to stick around the house....
The family returned bearing gifts for our anniversary. My over-eager son Ethan grinning from ear to ear. Felt like an ass when I realized I forgotten our anniversary! Opening the bag brought great joy. Here's the list: 175gm Orange star Xcaliber, 177 supercolor esp Buzzz "Fly" stamp, 174 Champ orange feldberg boss, 175 pro Pig, 2009 Innova disc golf calender, couple stickers. Kids were equally stoked about their minis. My wonderment was quickly overwhelmed by curiosity. How had Becky figured out that I had the first three molds already in my bag? good weights and colors...
Turns out Becky had went to Fly the local disc golf store in Ann Arbor, which due to a real estate issue is closing its doors in a few days. the Attendant of the store had apparently picked out all the stuff.....thank you for your choices, o wise one! farewell my fav store! I know there will be other places locally to obtain discs, but none of them would have been able to help Becky pick such perfect premium plastic! I for one will miss Fly! Thanks Becky!!
