I don't know if you are lucky enough to play DG in a town that does not have 2 or more feuding DG clubs and if you do then you probably have seen DG suffer greatly. Courses don't get taken care of because people are too busy plotting their next move to screw over the other club and with all of the BS flying around, you can't really trust anyone. All about a game, no less.
The club that I am affiliated with chose to try to rise above this by moving weekly leagues around, not run events on the same days as the other club and on and on. And, for each one of those attempts to work around the "OTHER" or rather "IMPOSTER" club they have responded by childishly scheduling conflicts, tearing down our course board postings, name calling and on and on.
My DG game has suffered with all of the controversy and I think the best to improve my game is to move far, far away from mentally unstable ex-ultimate social butterfly DGers.
