The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

As I came up out of the woods to the 12th tee this morning, the broad fairway ahead of me was gorgeous! The Parks department does a fabulous job, considering we've had 5 inches of rain this month. The water here tends to stand patiently on top of the ground, waiting to slowly seep in. So you may slog through, but the ground itself is not squishy or slippery. Mostly. Sometimes it runs off into temporary rivulets and waterfalls, down to the lake. It was windy today, making each shot a thing of beauty, like releasing a bird and letting your heart soar with it. No matter where it lands. Hole 14 is awful-long and sloping down to the the disc hungry river-but in the spring air there is a lovely flowery scent mixed with a hint of spice that intoxicates. Could anything be better?
