first run at IIT course 6-9-2009

So I made it out to IIT 9 hole course on campus.

first, everything that people complain about is true. the course is short, there are a lot of people around (not playing), and you are playing in between buildings.

on the plus side though its straight south of my house. walk to the corner, get on bus, wait 10 minutes, get off bus which drops me off at the first tee.

the campus is nice though, the tees are well marked and the baskets are bright and new. great for practice and getting in short games after work before sundown. also, the campus is fairly well lit so you can play their pretty late.

now everyone knows the neighborehood around the campus is sketchy but as long as you stick to the campus your fine. its well lit and there is a good amount of people around.

I played the course through once. made par on all the holes except 4 and 6 that i bogeyed. went back and played them again making par.

all in all I love this course, but mostly becuase it is sooo close and the facilities are nice and new. i can see myself down here once a week getting practice in.
