Well I just got done playing at my first rated tournament and only my second event ever. I played in the Spring Opener at Sterling, IL. The event was well run and they had a good turn out, Paper or Plastic did a great job putting everything together and had a nice selection of discs to purchase. There was also food cooked and available to the players during the lunch hour.
The par was 60 and we played two rounds, I finished 11 over on both rounds. I had a few excellent dueces but made some horrendous upshots, and in the end thats what cost me the most strokes. So now I know what I really need to work on.
I have played the course maybe eight or nine times, not at all this year though, and while I didn't do as good as I was hoping to I still had a good time and look forward to improving my game in time for the big tournament in Springfield, IL next month. I haven't played either of those courses though.
