Friends

Ya know the best thing about Disc Golf is the friends you find out on the course! The Z-Brothers, ie: Keith & Drew, found me as a fledgling DG'er and took me under their wings, even though I can't get a lot of tech. help as they both throw wicked sidearms and I throw a wussy rhbh, they have helped me ENJOY the game a lot more than if I played by myself! They always make me "step up" my game, weither it's despertaly trying to out drive them off the tee or get in a closer "upshot" at the basket! They both laugh and joke and we give each other a hard time, LOL, sometimes are games are so bad we "count tree or in the water" hits to come up with a "winner" for the round! ;)
I'm not much on competitive side of DG, the leagues, tournaments, etc. but playing with FRIENDS makes this game what it really should be, jmho. You can keep your prize monies, mech prizes, side bet's, I'd rather play a round with great friends ANY DAY!!

well said bogeyman !!! i agree, as most of my best disc golf moments and memories have been during casual play with my buds, one in particular is my buddy dan aka " the paper boy " he earned this nickname as his disc golf bag is a times reporter paper boy delivery bag LOL, and he sports it proudly !! heck one time we arrived at a tourney and was walking up to the sign in area were a group of 50 or more players were standing around, when someone in the crowd shouted out, hey look at the dude with the paper boy delivery bag !! 50 pairs of eyes turned our way, i look over at dan who is by now sporting it proudly doing a mock runway walk to show it off LOL priceless !!, that and many other funny moments with all my disc golf buds like, bad shots, good and bad jokes, as well as the friendly competition with some good smack thrown in, are what make this sport fun for me and keep me helplessly addicted - DC

ps- you can see a picture of Dan on my homepage in all his glory, sporting his prized paper delivery bag, he isn't hard to spot as he will be the one sporting the white bag with the bright orange florescent stripes.
