The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I played the odds in regards to the cardinal rule of air travel and did not win. I put my bag in the luggage to accommodate a new carry on bag. I pulled out a few of my every day discs (including my putters), "just in case my luggage was lost." When I got to Anchorage I checked for my luggage and was told by the nice lady at the baggage counter that it was checked through to Kenai. Got to Kenai (I'm sure you see what's coming) no bag. Currently missing is my Revo Dual pack and the majority of my tourney discs...all of those wonderfully beaten in true flyers. I have a few mids, three fairway drivers and my putters remaining. I'm still hopeful they will return to me, but have learned a valuable lesson.

Anybody else lose their bags because they checked them?

I was leaning toward the desk option. It's a nice day today, might just have to take the recovered discs out and let them fly a bit.

wow, I would have to hurt someone if that happened to me...or just crawl under my desk with my blanket and suck my thumb.

Good Deal!! They should bring right to your door. Years ago Delta lost our luggage coming back from Philly....of course I had carried my disc golf bag on the plane to and from...much to my wife's slight dismay with that....I had the pleasure of saying I told ya so!!! ...any ways after they realized our luggage had gone to Dayton instead of Daytona....they tracked it down...put it on a flight from there to here...and delivered it right to my house.

Update: Ashley is my hero. She made calls to everywhere yesterday and finally found my bag. It had hitched a ride on an Alaska Airlines flight to Fairbanks instead of getting on the plane to Kenai with me.

I know...I knew. Like I said, I played the odds and got toasted. I get a queasy feeling every time I think about it.

Never check your disc golf bag...always carry it on the plane. There was nothing in your "new" carry on bag that is equal to your golf bag...if there was you should have slipped it into the side compartments. Live and learn my friend...live and learn.
