First, thank you Kevin Misiak for the hospitality today and tomorrow, and the job to make $ at tomorrow.
I pretty much the week set, tomorrow work in the morning then play either Maysville/Wilder/Athens. Next day the remaining 2/3. Next day Elberton, and down to IDGC.
Roswell, GA- East Roswell:Well marked, it has signs and a left-over from a tournament sign that describes each hole. Triple tees of crushed gravel boxes. Gets too tight often, not much reward for throwing well, extreme punishment for not or for bad luck. Tough to make it down most fairways cleanly, even for a pro (from longs). Many blind shots or hidden trees mean not knowing the course makes it all that harder, it's rather impossible to throw around a blind curve and maneuver through dozens of trees you can't see from the tee pad. Hills make for a workout. Some kudzu holes but not as bad as I expected, almost no ivy to be found as it's old growth forest with big trees. Need every shot in the bag, some drivers for the long tight woods holes, and a good luck charm. No water hazard. #4 throws over 4 abandoned tractor trailers like a daredevil on a motorcycle might. Placement is key but tough to do as there's always a tree in the middle of the already thin fairway.
***Snellville, GA- Lenora:***Played it before in 2006.Needs better signage to #1, but otherwise well marked. Well mowed and clean too. Large cement tees, some with brooms. Very open playing on rolling grassy hills with the spare tree or two. No tight holes or rough. One alt. long tee over water (is unmarked so you just have to know about it). Big arms rewarded with a few bonus park shots, otherwise still need to be able to throw 350' in wind up and down hills to score.
