Good rounds turn bad.

I was out this weekend playing at Reed Canal with Rocky and Buddy. Started off with a bogey on 1 but then the putts started falling. My drives were going well. I was having a great overall game. My best score for the course is a 7 under and I usually hang around the 5 under area. Walking to hole 12 I was sitting at 6 under and then Rocky and Buddy start mentioning my score and how well I was doing. Of course I have to say "all I have to do is par 12, 13 and 14 and I'll be happy." Those are 3 of the longer holes and the last 4 holes are all birdieable, so I was looking at a possible 10 under. Hole 12, double bogey. Hole 13, double bogey. My round had taken a turn for the worst. After being king of the round, I turned into the peasant of the round in 2 holes. Even though I was digging myself into a hole I kept my chin up and still had fun and I did get a dig on Rocky with my comment that I was choking like Dan Marino. I was able to par 14 and birdie the final 4 to save a 6 under round and overall I was still really happy with my round, but oh what could have been. It's all about having a good time and I'll be out there trying to beat my record again soon.
