The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I got home late last night or more properly early this morning from visiting relatives over the 4th in Minnesota. I called Bill and set up a round in Greer this evening. I was there first and threw 5 discs from the 1st tee while they were pulling in. While I was gathering my discs Bill threw his putter toward the 8th basket, then started talking to a new player and threw another disc around the trash box down toward the same basket. We got ready to play and Bill couldn't find his putter. We hunted and hunted and couldn't find it. Bill even offered a free disc to some kids and they hunted for it while we played the round, but it never did show up.

The new player Thomas also played with us. He's been playing about 3 weeks and has a strong left handed side-arm. He's a little wild, but he is very new to the game. He played the first 10 holes then he left to go home and sleep so that he could go to work early in the morning. I have seen Thomas on the course a couple of times before.

I played so-so and finished with a +4 for a 58. My side-arm tee shot is getting better. Even though I threw one great thumber, I am really struggling to throw consistently. It used to be my faithful throw. I had a 2 stroke swing on #16. It is a hole that I should always birdie, but I put my thumber in the creek. I also threw a stroke away on #18, so I should have been 3 strokes better. But we had a good time even though Bill lost his putter.
