I called Bill and met him and Carla in Greer for a round tonight. While we were teeing off Dillon, one of the kids that hangs out at the park, came running over wanting to play with us. Dillon is a kid that doesn't throw well at all, but he talks incessantly and takes forever to throw. He also pesters us while we are trying to throw. So a round with Dillon is an exercise in patience.
I was throwing a fair round (for me), but the wheels came off at the end of the round. I missed a par putt on 14, Dillon cost me a couple of strokes on 15, I missed an easy birdie putt on 16, then I tanked with a double bogey on 18. So I finished with a very disappointing 60 at +6. Bill and Carla stayed to play a second round , but I had to scoot on home. Bill and Carla are leaving tomorrow to go on a cruise and visit family in Florida, so I won't see them for a couple of weeks.
