Griffin Park in the Wind

I got out of class early today so I headed out for a round of disc golf. I ran by Lions park here in Norman but they were lined up waiting to tee off. Griffin Park is only a few blocks away so I decided to try that. I hooked up with a guy named David that is also at NCED for a class and we played a round together. He is a longer and better player than me (aren't they all?) but I had a good time with him. David is here from Pensacola and is taking a canceler class. I played okay for a while but I seemed to wear out as the round went on. The wind was typical Norman springtime wind, which was short of gale force. The last few hoes the wind was just brutal. But it was good to get out and play again.

On the drive back to NCED I passed Colonial Estates and it was covered up with players with a long queue at the first tee. I wanted to contact Shel but it was spur of the moment and I didn't have time to get this very old laptop up to contact her.

Hey Kraig! Howz u doin? I'm off work until Monday, trying to find someone to go up to Emporia with me to the Glass Blown Open tourney, trying to get my rating up this year so that I can go pro next year. My trip partner bailed out on me the last minute, so I dont have enough money for gas, entry and hotel by myself. This sux!! Therefore, I may see you out on the course over the next few days if you go. You will have to yell at me, because my eyesight is blurry, and I don't ever remember faces until I play around of golf with the peeps...maybe old age setting into me, I dont know. Anyway, hope to see you out there eventually. Really hoping I can still find someone to go up to Emporia, trying to meet Neil, Lars, and others up there!! So, c ya around, maybe, hopefully, eventually!
