my first post.

let see.... I have been disc'n since 200 when some friends introduced me to the game. I loved how casual they made the game play and followed their own rules. I continued to play on and off over the next 8 years. Last season I finally got around to buying my own discs and actually keeping score when I play.

This year I have been so excited to get out and play again. I have never kept track of the fields I have played our where they are located I would just go along with a group of friends. I am going to try and change that this year by keeping track of my score and where I played.

so to start....

I played Common Field yesterday (6-9-2009) in Lombard. The course is a short 9 hole. Very few obstacles and not a lot of trees. The park was also a little crowded with people using the baseball and soccer fields.

all in all not a bad couse. I managed to make par on every hole, but really its a beginners course. great for getting in a quick game after work before sundown, but not someplace to plan a trip around.

Tonight I am going out to the IIT course on 33rd and Dearborn. This is only 3 miles from my house and I can't believe I never have played it before.

*hoping for good weather after work tonight*

ah but that is my problem. I live downtown and don't own a car. I have played a few of the courses there but its only when i can find some friends to drive me. IIT is on the same street I live on.

IIT course is not worth your time. Too many buildings and students. Check out some of the joilet area courses, or oswego
