It'd be nice if they shoveled the tee pads especially on a record high snow-melt day, since we are paying 50$ for the privilege of playing there...

I played 42 holes out there today- 24 Blues (66) and 18 Yellow (48, played w/ Dr. Steve- 49). It appeared no one had even played the Blue tees in weeks, let alone shovel, so I grabbed the nearby crappy plastic one and did them all as best as I could w/ it. They should be clear enough to play by now. Hard to believe no one bothered yet, disappointing.

Found 3 more discs, returned one to a guy who lives across from the park by tossing it into his yard, and contacted another guy to return his. One was an unmarked Star Destroyer.

Most of the snow is now gone, and it's real soggy.

Record high's today.

I agree -- I think it is very reasonable to expect teepad maintenance in return for the collected fees.

$70 for a car pass and golf pass, I don't think that's too shabby. Keeps the crowds down.

The Blue pads were doomed almost from the get-go after the previous melt down. The Reds were only decent because one crew of guys did the majority of them. Someone else did a half-arse job on the remaining Reds eventually. I doubt they'll take to shoveling them very often, but who knows. The cash coming in from DG is of course not at all tied into DG related upkeep...

The parks folks may take to running the snow mobile down the fairway after big snows to create a walkway of sorts. Worked OK this year, but would have been great if they'd done it sooner, before there was already some heavy traffic on the course.

I haven't played Hudson Mills lately but I'll claim the marked Star Destroyer.
And, if you want to play on shoveled pads, go to Tittabawasee Park in Freeland. Jeff Bonn has adopted the duty as his winter project and with a little help, the pads are concrete, salted if icy and ready for an 18 hole round anytime...

I think those two things are somewhat related :)

I still find it hard to believe that it's that much to park/play! It's also hard to believe that i played my first object course about 6-8 months before you were born. I was 12. Yikes.
