No, my game was not steller, infact it was average at best, but there's something special about showing up at open park DG course on a chilly but very sunny day and being the ONLY one in the whole park!! Widefield Community Park DG course is in a old county park but it's a blue level course with a OB creek flowing thru 90% of the course. It has big old oak and cottonwood trees so lot's of yellowed and brown leaves are on areas of the course.
Luckly it's never as crowded as the DG course up in the northern part of Colorado Springs, even on the weekends but during the weekdays, sometimes you get the "magic" time, it's just YOU and the COURSE! The doinks are louder and when you hit the chain's it seems to vibrate thru the whole course. Even though it's surrounded by suburban homes, it can get erry quite when YOU "own the course"! LOL, I just know that when I do get my "1st. ACE", it will be on a day that I "own the course" and no one will be around to prove I finally got that elusive PIA shot! ;) I hope you all get a chance to "own the course", it's just a really cool feeling!
Take care, have FUN, Throw Plastic!
