The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Just got back from this course recently and it was tough. I got thouroughly pissed off a couple of times as things obviously didn't go right. A lot of trees in the rain forest and tons of high speed wind and rain in the wide open holes. I learned a lot about stability of discs relative to wind and how to play it. This was a tough and frustrating lesson for several of us as far as I could tell. As much as I got mad and bitched about it, I wouldn't go change it as they were important lessons that all disc golfers need to learn first hand. All in all I had a great time as most of us from the ADGA went down to represent, we even outnumbered the locals..../FLEX!!!. I got a few pictures being down there, but my camera sucked so some of them didn't turn out as well. I'll end up posting them anyway so you all can get an idea of what we played in and how beautiful it was.

1st Round: 67
2nd Round: 69
3rd Round: 71
4th Round 62

You'd figure I would got better as time went on, but that wasn't the case as you can see per the scoring.

Nice job, I ended up tieing for 12th place after my 4th round. I would love to play that place with no wind and see how I fair. I loved the island hole...I was one of the few that made it every round with that crazy ass wind.

I played Juneau Aug. 27th same weather conditions ....... JD and I had the Innaugarul Alaska - British Columbia Match Play Championships. I had come off the cruise ship and he was gracious enough to come and pick me up and we had a super match. It was a rugged but beautiful course. Some deadly uphill holes. And the Island and Peanut hole were interesting and them Sitka Spruces were huge. I was lucky enough to throw well that day and I hung in there for the win. Gotta love the match play.
