The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Ok so I played again today!!!! It was fun, started off not so good but I didnt get any time to warm up really because I got off work late!!! && on top of that my wonderful boyfriend lost my beast while playing one round on monday so I had to go get another one!!! and OF COURSE that one doest fly anything like my old one, but thats ok cause i have started using the starfire ( i think thats what its called). There was 3 girls playing this time and I won!!! I was excited again! I didnt do better than last time.. just added a stroke but I did get my first Birdie on hole 16! I need to go and practice more on that course cause there are a lot of hard shots for a lefty.. or a newbie like me! I need to get my form down as well!!! sometimes i throw the discs and they cut hard and then WHEN i try to make the disc cut it goes straight... when i dont need to it to go straight!! ahhh it drives me crazy!!! Im thinking about joining the arlington disc golf club... but i dont know yet. I might as well since I am going to start playing a lot more.. right?!!?!? ok well this was a random blog... just wanted to write something! Gnite!

As a member of the ADGA, I can say it's a great club, wonderful people and direction. You should definitely join, one of the best and oldest clubs in Texas.

Keep at it and the form will start to define itself. I agree with Tino on the fact that the more people you play with, the more you learn.

Join the club. The more variety of people you play with, the better your game will get. The more "tips" you will hear. ANd dont feel bad, unless a person is a "freak", we all started out the same way you are. This past weekend we went to a course that we used to play when we started out. Some of those holes I would throw a 7 or 8 now, 2s and 3s. It will come over time, just always enjoy the process.
