Played 54 holes at Peters Creek yesterday and played against one of the local pros and some guys from the advanced division. I came close to winning but threw too many bogies to put myself out: -10 to -3. We were at -7 to -6 (me) early in the 2nd round but then I faded. It wasn't that I choked, I just had some bad shots that put me in spots that were hard to get out of...Peters Creek is extremely wooded and like a prison for those that have never played it.
It was just me and Thad going to play and then at the end of our first round we ran into some other guys that play with a lot and decided to play money on 36. Over both rounds I racked up 13 birdies as well as Silky who beat me...he just had less bogies than I. Had a good time either way and I did commit sidearm as much as possible during play. I've just recently started playing with it a lot more and have seen improvement. I even threw sidearm on holes that I would normally throw overhand on and park, but I want to be just as proficient on my side as I am on my back. I think that faired pretty well considering...
