I got my first win yesterday in a tourny, the Ice Bowl @ Mad River Beach here in Humboldt County. This is one of the only Ice Bowls that is played almost entirely on objects instead of baskets. The morning was cold with the sand on the beach being frozen, but it turned into a great day out at the beach, sunny, 61F, and only a light breze most of the day, climing to a wind at some points. I was only in Novice scence I got slaughtered so bad at the Heave in Am2. After the first round of 18 I was tied with the other leader in novice, and when we played together in the last round I beat him by a total of 10 strokes for 9 holes. This deffinatly led to a few chants of "bagger" at the awards ceremony. And the fact that I got lucky and won some good prizes in the raffle lead to some chants of "raffle bagger", but hater's will be haters, and it was all for charity anyway. We had some guys from our local coast guard playing in the tourny too, and for some entertainment between rounds they had some of their buddys do a fly by in the helicopter. Good times were had by all.
