Today was great!
I got to work uber early to make sure that I could slip out in time to meet Ben Calhoun out at Middle Creek DGC in Cary, NC. I knew it was going to be rather chilly but the wind just made the blood freeze in my hands. I had to compensate my putting style and aim more to the left of the pole because my hands were so cold. It was great meeting Ben though. From the sounds of what we talked about and what he's seen over this past year I'm sure he'd make a great course designer.
I wish I would've taken off today to play through Zebulon, Cedar Hills, and Kentwood but.. I gotta make a living somehow.
It was fun though. He's a lot more use to the cold than I am and his black super rubber putter was something else (forgot what it was..I believe it was made by DGA). I swear if you'd see it flex that it would just flop right out of your hands. I need to go to the field more on windy days to see how my disc will react to different wind angles.. seriously. I couldn't make a shot or drive to save my life.
Take it easy and keep huk'n ( even if your body is an ice cube ),
