The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

So since the snow first fell in December, I became obsessed with the sport all over again. I have been reading, and researching and reading some more. It's all I talk about at work, and with my friends. I practice putting in my down time, and I talk about building a new course near my job. I wonder if anyone else gets this way. As soon as something is denied to them, they go crazy for it. I have plans to play almost every day, and to take weekend trips to other cities to play other courses. Dangit, I want April...now. By the way. Since I am a school teacher, I don't get home from work until 4 or 5pm, so playing in the snow in the dark isn't much of an option for me.

I get the same way Jon. This past week, it was in the 40's and I wasn't able to get out to play! I have to be careful about how much time I devote to the sport. I have overwhelmed my wife and she's a little sick of hearing about disc golf. Once I'm back to work and the weather gets better, I plan on hitting it hard! I need March!

I have to agree w/Mark bobber lights in the snow are highly visible. But even if you aren't playing in the snow, it sounds like you are finding an outlet for your passion. I love to talk disc with friends, get on here and see what people are talking about. I even sit in front of the TV with a disc in my hand snapping it and even have a little indoor driving target in my extra room upstairs, as well as a portable basket in my basement for putting. I have also been playing in the snow but not as often as I play in the summer (everyday). Well once the snow is gone and the daylight lasts longer you will be back out doing what you want. Right now just set your dg goals for this season, get your weekend trips planned out, and keep on doing what you are doing, especially putting. Once the nicer weather hits make sure you hit me up when you head over here to Big Rapids, I would love to throw a round with you. BTW, the MIDGC (Michigan Intercollegiate Disc Golf Challenge) will be converging on the course in Mt. Pleasant on Feb. 22nd. You are more than welcome to come and play if you are free. Here is the link to the tournament that I created on here for more info and you can check if you are attending or maybe or not. Hope to see ya!

The easiest disc to find in the snow has a bobberlight taped to the bottom after dark.

I feel your pain. I am ready for daylight past 5pm! I do not have to worry about snow, just cold. Weekends can't come fast enough.
