Leaving in about 8 hours for California. I'm trying to make it in time to get some sleep and make the grand opening. It's only about a 19 hour drive from Tulsa. Hopefully see you all then.

Any sneak peeks at the length of the holes and course description?

Theres the time and date confirmations. Let's get our schedules cleared for Saturday so we can show our support for our sport and the new local fly18 course! I'm really looking forward to finally meeting more people in person.

I am happy with the new course, lots of fun, and a new style of design, for fly18.This saturday we will open up at11;00 free give aways and cold beer,,I dont think we have to be worried about other courses monthleys we are so far away from all of them. This course playes a par 62 for both ams and pros this is a 9 hole golf course. This area has had no disc golf forever, I hope this will supply a demand for Temecula, perris sun city mureita, and Hemet. I have found a few old school players that live close to the course Steve Valencia and Randy Amand are going to be locals. Many thanks go out to Keith Guther for pestering me for months to get a course in the area, also Big Mike for install help ,Felipe Arango for meetings, and td work at Van Buren.I hope to see some new faces out at the new course # 20 for fly18 building the places we play...

All things considered it may be a little while before all these extra things come together but with help from Reese and the golf course management we will find best times for us to hold our events. Of course the census of what other events are occuring and what day is best for a good turn out it key.

I would love to help create a club for this location and I (along with help from you guys) will keep track of what people suggest for the best days for events as we do need to organize around the other events. Thank you Evan for being the first to help us out! Feel free to contact me through my email and here so we can keep the the census going.

The local park is always free ;) What saturday or sunday of each month do you think a monthly would be on? the first saturday of each month is used by Sylmar, the 2nd is La Mirada, the 3rd is Morley field, 3rd sunday is Oak Grove, and the 4th saturday is El Dorado. Emerald Isle has their doubles on sundays also. First Sunday of each month? Throwing the idea out there.
Has the idea of creating a club for this course been proposed?

Compareson to other LOCAL pay to play courses...
$2 differance for 18 holes walking compared to Yucaipa that is about an hour away?
$0 differance to Van Buren and you get 4 more holes BUT again about an hour drive?
$1 differace to Emerald Isle and AGAIN about an hour drive?
Is there anything cheaper in an hours traveling time?

Great to hear of new courses in this part of SoCal but personally I feel the green fees are a bit high. Just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Sweet - I just heard about this from Reese and Chance Stephens the other day. Looking forward to playing it for sure. It will probably be the closest course to my home (Palm Desert area). They just opened the Yucaipa course the other weekend too. Let us know if it will be playable on Saturday, I'm sure a few of us PD folks will come out to throw.
