I'm a new guy qho just picked up some discs. I'm looking for some players to show me the ropes. I live in Beaverton and I'm 32 years old.

You can go to PDGA.com and their Course Directory will tell you all the courses in your area. If you don't mind just showing up and asking to join groups (most disc golfers are friendly) this is the quickest way. Once you know the courses, find out when the leagues are held (from asking players or internet searches) and show up for these. Don't worry about how good you are. We all sucked when we started. Some of us can still suck after thousands of rounds. :)

Many traditional social barriers have little affect among the frisbee family. Age, race, socio-economic status, religion or (more importantly) your preference of plastic often does not interfere with the unrelenting pursuit of fun and excellence at the course. Be bold. Find the best player you can and ask for advice.

Have you checked out the instructional video's from discraft? They are VERY helpful.
