Seeing as it is ridiculously warm outside this week and the courses are ridiculously swampy, I decided to invest in some new shoes. They are nike bandolier's which are mid level hiking shoes that have a Gortex coating on them, they are very light and have good traction. So far they have kept my feet very dry from all the puddles I keep stepping in off the tee pads in mt. pleasant, especially since those pads are the worst I have ever played on. Anyways, the round I played was pretty fun, unfortunately one of my discs made it on the pond just far enough that I didn't dare go out to try and rescue it. The other unfortunate thing about playing on that course is the wind factor, there were probably 30 to 40 mph winds so the day was a little more miserable than I thought it would be, score wise at least. Anyways, if you are debating on wither or not to get some waterproof, light weight shoes for the mucky weather, I highly recommend these ones. You can get them at pretty much all Dunham's Sporting Goods stores and they cost about 80 bucks, lucky I work there so I didn't have to pay that much, but they are definitely worth the investment!
