Monday; Just went out to the local course by myself, wore the Ipod and played a nice relaxed casual two rounds. Listened to some Stevie Ray, Tom Petty and AC/DC and shot a one under and an even. Sometimes it's nice to just play at your own speed, didn't have to wait on anyone either round which was nice too.
Tuesday; Met Rody and Kyle and drove over to try and make the mini at Crowley. I knew we were running a little late so I called everyone I could think of to no avail. We got there about ten minutes late so we just decided to play some dime skins instead. We pushed the first eight skins and I was the only one to get through the trees clean on hole nine for nine skins. We traded off from there never pushing more than three after that and ended up finisheing with thirteen skins. Made a couple bucks and had a good time.
Wednesday; I run the mini at my home course on Wednesday and drew Kyle. We shot alright but had trouble getting started as we missed a few birdie opps early on. Once we got to the back nine we picked it up and were setting seven under until we bogied the last hole to finish in a tie with Britt and Toby. We pushed the first playoff hole and won on the second. First place money was worth fifty bucks, not too shabby.
Thrusday; I decided late in the afternoon to run over to Z Boaz for the Thursday night mini. This week was draw doubles and I managed to get under the radar and out of the protected field. I was told afterward that wouldn't happen again and it probably shouldn't either. So, as a result I knew I should draw a pretty good golfer and I did. John has a huge arm and crushed quite a few drives. I can't remember the final scores but I think we won by two or three strokes at seven under. First place money was again fifty bucks, again, not too shabby.
Friday; That's today and I probably won't play today but I might run out to the course and do some quick work here and there. Although the way this week has gone, maybe I should look for another round of skins or something.
Here's hoping you're weekend is as good as my week was, at least on the course. Throw em straight and solid.
