The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Ok, now been playing for 4 months and not a day goes by that I don't either post to this site or think about Disc Golf. My love has always been football, for years and years, still is, but now it will come 2nd if the wife is game to watch the kids and the weather is suitable for playing.

I dream about it, daydream about it, and can't get my hand on that "Next" disc soon enough, because I'm still trying to figure out what discs I like and work best for me. Right now, I have several discs I must have, and I am curious to log in a year from now and see if those discs are still important to me: Beast, Predator, XCaliber, Banger GT, Classic Roc and my "Anny Must" Sidewinder, bought another today. I also like my Valks and my Surge. Wondering when I'll be done searching, and ready to dwindle down to just a few molds. Right now, I am so new, I want to try everything, well, at least Discraft and Innova, I don't want to overwhelm myself with other brands right now.

I had a dream about creating a Mecca Disc Golf Course in Texas, having 3 actually, with a store, selling all discs, driving range with footage marked on the field, membership discounts, pro clinics, increasing awareness of the sport as a company goal, and the list goes on forever.

My son, who is 5, already has 10 discs, lol. He goes for the Stamp Designs, not the make, of course and loves his TRex, which actually has a Trex stamp.

I better get good at this sport!!

Don't sweat it man. If you haven't already, wait until you sink your first 20+ foot putt, or even better an ace(which i have yet to get), then you will know why you play discgolf!!

This is one of the few addictions that can only make you a healthier person in the long run, in my opinion.

J.D. Guy,
Things are getting out of hand. Please, please go see a doctor soon. From the doctor you want to get preprinted letters excusing from minor obligations (work, whatever) which will give you the time to put in some serious practice.

Oh, and go pick up a Z Surge SS and a Rogue. They are great discs. You really can't live without them.

You will get "good," J.D. I started at age 51, about 11 1/2 years ago, and I have gotten better each and every year.

Of course, as the sport grows, everyone else is getting better, too, so my PDGA rating isn't great. But I know that I would kick the ass of the me of 2 years ago if we could compete.
