I just don't know what to say about this lady! And I'm not sure if I should feel sorry for her mother or blame her for her daughter's action!

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – The grandmother of California's newborn octuplets faces the threat of foreclosure on the house she has shared with her daughter and six of her grandchildren, property records revealed on Wednesday.

According to a mortgage default notice filed last week with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder's Office, Angela Suleman is more than $23,000 behind in payments on her house in the Los Angeles suburb of Whittier, an agency spokesman said.

The default notice was first made public when a copy of the document, giving Suleman three months to settle her debt in order to avoid foreclosure, was posted on the celebrity news website TMZ.com.

The papers indicate Suleman last made a payment on the three-bedroom house in May 2008 and has filed for bankruptcy.

Texas-based debt collection agency NDEx West, operating on behalf of mortgage lender IndyMac Federal Bank, declined comment and Suleman could not immediately be reached for comment.

Her daughter, Nadya, 33, jobless and receiving food stamps, drew international headlines and a torrent of public ridicule after giving birth January 26 to octuplets conceived through in vitro fertilization.

That criticism intensified when it was learned she already had six children, ages 2 to 7, that she was collecting disability checks for three of them, and that they all were living with the grandmother.

Angela Suleman also has complained publicly of the financial burden and voiced skepticism about her daughter's ability to care for 14 children.

The public backlash grew so hostile that Nadya Suleman -- dubbed "octo-mom" in the tabloid press -- went into seclusion with her six older kids last week due to death threats, according to a publicity firm hired by the family.

Spokesman Michael Furtney, whose firm has since severed ties with Suleman because of the threats, said she and her children recently moved back in with the grandmother.

Did you hear, Denny's is creating a special breakfast in honor of the "Octo- mom'. It's 14 eggs, no sausage, and the guy inthe next booth has to pay.

agreed Tino, the doctor should be held accountable, as far as the grandmother is concerned, from what understand i dont think she had knowledge of her daughters planns to have more kids, and if you have kids like i do, you know as well as i do that you can advise your kids to do or not do something, but that doesnt neccessarily mean that they will listen and do what you request, especially when they are an adult, i personally feel that as her mother is apperarently the one at this point who is stepping up and taking care of these kids she shopuld be commended not run down, hey she did state publically that what her daughter did was wrong, she should in my mind get some help if she can, so she can continue to help her daughter raise these kids, especially considering her daughters mental state, as she is obviosely a few bricks shy of a load !

i whole hartedly agree that the doctor was totally in the wrong here, i have yet to hear how an unwed unimployed women with 6 kids was able to convince a doctor to do this let alone pay for it ! he definatley should beheld accountable ! the doctors owth is to do no harm, and in this case he do to her mental state he harmed her, as well as the future and well being of those kids, just my opinion.

look, sincethe doctor new she already had six, and he choose to get her pregnant anyway, let him pay for her. It may not be his sperm and DNA, but he knocked her up. If the most beautiful girl (octomom is far from that) came up to you and said lets do it, but let me put my six kids to bed, would you??? Hell no, but technically, this doctor did. He should pay!! I saw the interviews and she is a idiot anyways. Those kids will suffer becuase she that it was cute to have a litter. Hate to be that way, but why should we have to pay for people like that!!??
