You can guess where I'm at.

I made it safely to my grandma's in Ohio today after a 360 mile morning ride interrupted by a 90 minute round at Deis Hill. I may be home tomorrow or certainly the day after if not tomorrow.

***Dover, OH- Deis Hill***: Already played it a year ago. Me and my dad played it last Christmas the day he created this site! It now has cement tees on about 1/3 of the holes, with each hole having 3 tees and 3 signs. This is one EPIC course, like Cass Benton on steroids. If you like Cass, you'll love this one and maybe even more so. Rolling grassy hills dotted with trees mixed with a few tight shots and OB roads. Immense elevation changes for Ohio, and generally for anywhere. Begins with a 1,000 ft hole from the blue tee, side-hill sloping left down and then uphill, to a basket on a slope towards woods at the end, wide open fairway, large yellow arrow sign pointing down at basket so you can see from the blind approach. I don't know what I like more- the 1,000 ft starter hole or the 800' hole I can't reach in two bombs followed by the 600' hole I can easily toss a midrange past! Many out of reach placement drives where you have to play the angle, hill, wind and OB. Scenic, well maintained all mowed grass park setting. Some woods holes, one long narrow tunnel. Extremely well marked. Will make the short list for top-25 courses to be determined!

Tomorrow: Maybe Spiker-Arboretum in Canton Ohio on the way home (played it in 1998- after just 6 months playing!).

Might be buying a new computer already, this one's screen crapped out twice tonight already, it's flickering it's life away.

hey Ben glad you liked Dies Hill, we appreciate your enthusiasm and kind words for our course, we have a ways to go yet to make it as good as it has the potential to be, the wind storm we had a month ago took alot of trees down in the woods that we need to get cleaned up as well as obviousely putting the rest of the teepads in and filling in dirt around the ones we got done, replacing the signs the punk kids vandlized and or stole, and moving some of the signs on the holes we altered from the origonal layout to there permanant location, but its coming along, i probably wont start back up on the teepads till spring now, but for the most part we got the worst ones out of the way,

ps. i didnt get your msg till today that you were playing dies yesterday, it would have been great to meet you and get a round in with ya, it just so happened that i took yesterday off do to the unusually warm weather we had, and me and a couple friends went up to medina and played.
