To all of you wonderful Disc golf friends of Dusan Nedelko - I wish I could thank you each individually for the kind words you have posted following Dusan's death. As much as our family is doing our best to deal with the tragic loss, I feel that it is very important to channel our energies to making sure that Dusan's dream of introducing disc golf to the world - and especially to children- will continue. I am personally devoting as much time and energy as possible to working in that direction - The Dusan Nedelko Foundation will be receiving Ontario Government incorporation as for no profit organization within the next few days - the foundation will distribute donated funds to enable children through outdoor activities - specifically teaching them to play and participate in the sport. This will honour Dusan's work and most definitely help to increase the popularity of disc golf everywhere. Dusan's brother Dan is also dedicated to continue working towards Dusan's dreams as is Kara - Dusan's wife. Website domain has been secured as
www.dusansfoundation.com and I will announce the launch of the site in a very near future.Any ideas or activities that you may think of or plan to help us with the foundation will be most welcomed and appreciated.
Personally - I miss him horribly and hope that you will all help me keeping his dreams alive. For those of you who are not aware of Facebook page that has been set up in his memory, please visit Facebook and search for In Memory of Dusan Nedelko.
I will only add one line that we have found in Dusan's trip pack he took on group trips to Algonuinn Park - he had a whole long list of one-liners and jokes to "entertain" people that were with him This line read:
"I intend to live forever - so far, so good...."
Yes my friends - so far so good- thanks to all the wonderful people that knew him, heard of him and would he like to know him.
Please stay in touch!
Mama Hanna
