well i started my putting routine 2 day. as a seasoned vet i feel confident that this will get me back into a confident state of mind. i feel a lil anxious and wish i were farther along than i was as far as time put in is concerned. i have a strong putting game already but i see room 4 a lot of improvement. i have felt my confidence slipping the last few tournaments even though i won and finished near the top still in the cash. but had i made my putts for birdie i would have won the open as well.... but i have started a confidence building putting routine that i feel good about and i'm sure it will take me 2 that next level as i enter the open division.moving into the open division is a choice i have put off as long as i could i always felt i would rather be a great am player than a shitty pro but i have a solid game and feel confident and re-dedicated and am looking forward 2 the new challenges and higher level of competition. being from Louisiana and playing mostly southern national events i came up in the am division with matt orum and playing against him even when he was young it was truly a humbling experience....

I hear ya dude! I've always thought the difference between the pro's and the am's is the putting consistency. I have gotten bored with Advanced, even tho I got busted in Wisconsin, but I have been recovering from a car accident that left me with two slipped discs. So, now I plan to play one more year of Am's, and pull in the age factor! Humbling for me, but there's no way I can beat those young one's anymore! I plan to be more serious about my choices of tournaments this year, trying to still figure that one out, since womens divisions are sometimes scarce. I also need to focus on my putting, having pretty good luck on some long putts, but not as consistent somewhere in between! So, what is a good putting routine?? I use a Super Soft Omega, due to the feel and grip to the chains. Seem to have a problem hitting just to the right of the "perfect spot". I've had to change up my game for several reasons, back, broken finger, etc., have used left hand as well as right. Sometimes I putt those "bad putts" better with lefty!! Kinda irritating when that happens, but everyone always tells me it's good to keep the dexterity, so what do you think??
