The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Really!!!!! Your gonna have to convince me better why Discraft is better tha Innova!!!

Okay, I live in Eugene Oregon. And here we Fly under the Innova Flag. If we lived in Middle ages era. I would live deep in the heart of England. And for some reason I keep hearing that those Italian Disc's "Discraft" are far more superior to my english gear.

The 1 reason I ask is I throw Xcal's, Destroyers, Sidewinder's, Valks, Tbirds. I have 12 destroyers, and love em all. But the thing that gets me is that I bought 3 at once. And all seemed fairly consistent to each other. 6 months later though 1 flies like a beat up Sidewinder. Great Hyzer flip disc, but cannot always trust it will not turn to much. Another is also very flippy. Slowly they all turned into flippy flippers. I have to buy a new disc, and it will ultimately only stay Stable for 4-7 months. Now I hear that Discraft's reputation is they hold there mold longer!!!!!

Prove it!!!!!!!!

Yeah you know here in Eugene Oregon, which is home to an area of 250,000+ there is not 1 retailer that sells Discraft!! No a lick!! I know I could buy online but wish there was an opportunity here locally. This town is swarmed by Innova. Makes sense to me that if you had diversity it may fuel growth!! Why do you think that the runs change so much?

I have to agree with Peter and Bill. Unless you are getting paid to throw one manufacturer, why limit yourself to one manufacturer. I'll throw any lid as long as it feels good and does what I want it to do. Re-enforcing what Bill said, I have found that Discraft's are more consistant from disc to disc. I guess because of the smaller runs. I like the Buzz and the Comet. I also like the STAR Destroyer and the Surge. Throw 'em all, I say! Merry x-mas all!!!

There is no difference, only in the molding and they are all copies of each other. All plastic in the grade and type necessary for making new discs comes from 3-4 main suppliers (DuPont, BP, etc) so THEY ARE ALL MADE FROM THE SAME PLASTIC.
Innova makes larger batches of discs (have seen the East Coast warehouse- it's unbelievable!) so I would think there will be greater variation between disc 1 of a run and disc 1000 of that same batch.

I stopped throwing several Innova drivers because I can never find a new one that I like or compares at all to the previous ones I liked. Tee Rex is the prime example.

I throw mostly Discraft midranges/putters but my preferred driver lineup is a mixed bag, throwing avengers, rogues, , boss, Xcal, with the go to driver->wraiths. I have found if you play heavily wooded courses and like wide rimmed drivers it is hard for them to maintain their stability, regardless of manufacturer, for greater than several months, just move it over in the bag and new stable one as needed. Both companies make great discs, support them all!

Johnny Roc.....not to go against you moniker but you should really give a Buzz a try, I know a good pro, who had a "Roc Dog" MI license plate and after spending some time with the buzz he eventually decided he preferred the Buzz.....but whatever feels good in your hand. happy huking!!
