I was out at one of my favorite courses to day playing by myself. It was awesome. I shot the front nine with a personal best, even made through a clearing that i always try when i go out there. Had a new disc, playing by myself, throwing great; couldn't ask for anything more. (Except for an ace!) Then it happened. I was coming up on a group of players, so I decided to slow down. I got to the part where you have to throw across the water for one hole, then back across for the next. As I waited for them to clear and start the next hole, I stepped up to the tee box. When the last guy was done, I whipped my drive out there, strait into the water. ( Good thing it was a floating disc). Not to be discourage, I pulled another disc out and let it fly. Nice shot, right into the fairway. As I started to walk over, I stopped to let the other group shoot back across. I saw one player walk over to my disc pick it up, put it in his bag, and walk about 6ft behind it and grab his and throw it. Right in front of me. The nerve of this guy. So I started to walk around the lake, interrupting their game and headed strait for the guy. Well I guess he saw me coming because of all his friends were yelling at me, started to walk off , and go hide behind his friends. Do i started to act like I was looking for my disc, talking aloud, so they knew I "lost" my disc. As they walked up to the next hole, I walked over and ask him if he had my disc. Of course he said no or I wouldn't be writing this. To make matters worse, I played little league with this guy. I remembered because he use to steal people glove a the time. It was all down hill from there. I took a drop, threw my disc and it landed into a mud hole. As I went go get it, my foot slipped in and is now soaking wet. I decided to take a breather and go sit by the lake and smoke a cigarette. By this time my first disc was getting close to the edge. I got back up and started to look around for my "lost" disc. I figured there was a slim, very slim, chance he was telling the truth. Two guys behind me went to played through and ask me if I lost something. I told them what happened and they told me that I was probably right. That the group of guys were shady and they wouldn't put it past them. He was telling me that they don't pay for their games, (It is a private course,$5) and always throwing there trash around. For the rest of the game, i couldn't get my head right. My score kept getting worse and the disc i did get from when threw it in the water went back into the drink. I am not really looking for sympathy, just venting. To MARK, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, I HOPE THE DISC HITS UP IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD.!!!!! To Trevor, Thanks.
