The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Drove up to Sylmar, CA late Friday night to blow off some steam, planning to play the next morning. Finding a hotel was interesting as the few (crappy) hotels I looked at asked me if I wanted the room for all night or an hour. Wow.. thanks alot. I have been called a lot of things but I never thought I looked like a "John"!

Played Sylmar starting around 8am and finished 2 rounds in a little over 2 hours (unheard of in SD).
Hit the post on my first drive on hole #4 (I got a little lost). This is the perfect course for me. I am not a bigh thrwoer but the elevated drives help me birdie 4 holes! I shot an even par my very first round and a +5 my second.

Great course. Next time I'll make sure to bring the family!

Look up a friend of mine next time you're there, Gil Rabago. Good people.

Here's another thought since you're a John, stay in Canoga Park as I hear it's the porn capital of the world. LOL
Yeah, be careful in Sylmar, best bet is to find a local or stay up in Pasadena.

Hey MDub!! Sylmar's my home course, and while I think it's one of the best in SoCal, the immediate accommodations are certainly not the best. My suggestion would be stay in Burbank (about a 15-20 minute drive south on the 5), there are a few "family" oriented hotels like Holiday Inn, etc. (though stay away from the Ramada - last I heard it was a pit).
