The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

We are changing the name of the Tour to the Essential 48 as we are trying to highlight the best clubs, promoters, and courses in the country. The courses we will be hosting events at are Essential courses; meaning that they are MUST PLAY if in the area. We have set the deadline for design submissions is 2/15/11 and believe that this Essential 48 idea should be able to and inspire more creativity and better designs then Great 48.

Deadline for submissions for your club to partner with us during the tour is 6/30/11 Submission forms can be found on our website under the Essential Requests section.

'52 in 52' has a better ring to it.  Include Puerto Rico and Washington DC!

You should end up in SoCal at the end of the year! Nice weather still!

that would be monumental, never done before, sounds awesome!!! so, i live in texas, you should check out Rockwall or Veteran's to host our state's event. Rockwall is probably the most technically challenging course in North Texas, the longest course by far, pristine fairways, every shot is required, pro and am teeboxes, great tee signs, top of the line baskets, free waterpark for kids, huge gazebo with electrical outlets for player meetings, etc. i always thought this course could host the biggest tourneys. they put a lot of time and money into it.

nah 48 states in 52 weekends is tough to plan , making it 50 in 52 weeks and trying to drag stock to alaska and hawaii would be a bear of a job. Although we are not ruling out ending in CA at years end hosting in Hawaii in 2013 and hitting alaska later.
