Some of my friends came up with the name "snake eye" many years ago, obviously inspired by my putting style. Here's a short video my friend Michael produced recently. It features the Austro Hungaro tour event in Retz, Austria. The tournament location is a former stone pit, apparently the best place for snakes. Enjoy!
The original "snake eyes":
"Dustin Hoffman’s character Jack Crabb has a wandering life and eventually meets up with his long lost sister. Caroline ain’t no sissy. She’s a sharp shooter and reckons if it’s in her blood, it’s in her brothers and decides it’s high time for Jack to learn to shoot. Apparently the secret to sharp shooting is Snake Eyes, which then guides one to “to hit the target before even touching the gun.” Jack doesn’t buy it but does his best snake eyes to please his sister. He breathes funny and is a crackpot. But, he hits the target first shot and is instantly transformed into a genuine gunslinger with a fancy black outfit and his own gunslinger name, 'The Soda Pop Kid.' "
As we all know from our famous westerns, sometimes you can get into trouble without the right horse. Thanks Irmgard for making this up. ;)
