The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Saturday May 30.

I played the Tobbogan yesterday. The first time in about three years. It was a good time, I didn't finish as good as I would have liked to. I think I was about 20-30 over I can't remember exactly. I won't be getting into am nationals any time soon.

To sum up my game I spent more time in the bushes then on the fairway, so I'd say my score wasn't that bad. I didn't lose no discs which is a bonus. I did find 1 on hole 9 while I was looking for mine in the bushes with a name & number on the back. I called the # and the disc has been returned.

I brought my newly built cart with which was a good idea. I carried some sandwhiches and a large bottle of water which I wouldn't have ben able to carrie in just my bag. I also have seat built into the cart which helped out when waiting at the tee pads that had no tables to sit at.

All in all it was a great day. It is a great course very challenging. Some holes are a little insane. I acctually remembered the course layout which was good since I've only played there once before. I sujest you try to get out and play this course while its in, its well worth it.

Sheila and I played it today with Tony and Katie. Tony threw a +7, I threw a +13, which was actually pretty good because I have not done any putting practice this year and would have been at like +6-7 if I had made 15-foot putts. The difference is that my forehand drive really helps. For example, with putting I would easily have had a 3 on Hole 12, which I have not done before. Probably won't get to play Toboggan again this year, too busy, but it was nice getting one round in.

Tony noted that he is moving soon into the Lakeshore Apartments, due to the disc golf course there.
