The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Soon I will begin a training endeavor in order to improve both myself and my girlfriend as she has really enjoyed the game and has a lot of potential for it.

The process will work completely backwards, meaning, from the moment the disc hits the chains all the way to stepping up to the hole before putting my bag down. I will also play games that limit what I can use (EX: No drivers, putter only, or understable discs only games) and I will make attempts to make it to a variety of courses. I will also attempt various other courses like Blue Huron in Huron Ohio, the 2010 AM Worlds courses, and the Detroit Metro Park courses.

I am not expecting anyone to really read this but will use it to track and document my progress and experiences. Thank you if you check it out.

I dropped all the high speed stuff. But yesterday I did an all putter round and did something that made me very happy. I throw my putters about 220 but got one in the 260-270 range by accident. When I started learning BH I learned my I was gaining power by over throwing a short hole 253 feet and learning that I could set a disc under the basket there. I first did this with an Orc, then a Roc, and now am going to do so with all 3 my putters (maybe not the VP). When I started doing this with the Roc I started throwing my drivers better, so lets ramp this up. In the next couple of weeks I want my putters about 300 feet, WHO BOY!

Right on. I am in North Louisiana. I pretty much throw Destroyers / Teebirds / Leopards / Rocs / Aviars. Right now I can throw 350' maxing somewhere around 380'.

I'm down for that. I'll be posting distances and results probably tomorrow. I'll also be including detailed info of what I'm trying if you have question or suggestions let me know what you think. Also where are you country wise? Maybe sometime we could meet up, I've been looking for people who can watch my form in person.

My bag looks like this at the moment

Putter
Floppy VP

Mids
XLink Summit, Ridge, and VP

Drivers
Banshee (will be replaced by XLink Ascent)
TL (will be replaced by XLink Ascent)
Leopard (will probably be replaced by Firm Ascent)

Big Drives
Wraith
Teerex

Peace for now, going to do a Summit, Ridge, and VP round. I'll message you later.

I am definitely interested. I am trying to do the same, if we both document what works / what doesn't work we can learn from each others mistakes.
