Went home to Washington for the first time since April 2005. Somehow the cold followed me from Michigan and we arrived to a 10 year storm. Winds from the northeast out of Canada and two feet of snow. I had to shovel my parents driveway numerous times just so I could get into town.

We did not get to play all the new courses that we were planning on, but did get to play the new course close to home. It is on an old camp ground that has been usused for years. There has been talk of it on here, it is called Mossy Roc. The name comes from the huge mossy rock that is the backdrop for the 17th hole. Pictured below.

The course has mix matched baskets to get it in the ground. I hear they have 5 new baskets to be put in when the weather gets better in the spring. This is one of two home made baskets on the course. Not bad for a home job. You can see how much snow we had to play in. Luckily we got fresh tracks. We were probably the only ones to play there all week. The basket is decorated with a tasty Moose Drool from Missula, MT. Just one of my many favorites that I can not get in Michigan.

Hole one at sunset after we finished.

View from hole #2's tee pad.

Looking down #2 fairway from the tee. Basket is 80 feet past trees on the right.

Made it up to Mt. Baker to ride for one day. Best weather all week but no new snow in the last 24. Still nice packed pow runs with little stashes on the sides. Picture of Mt. Shuksan in the clouds.

Snow in the back of my parents house.
