November 8th, 2008 Was the turkey open at firefighters park in troy Michigan. First off let me say it was confusing as hell to get to this place. there were at least 3 highway changes and I got lost going there. But I arrived on time to register. I Played Am 3 as I always do. The course was like a nicer and longer and tougher version of Knollwood. I really liked the course. Most holes you could get a birdie, but it was tough. The first round I shot a couple birdies and a couple bogeys for a total of 56. More like 4 or 5 bogeys I was quite upset with my play. I felt I could have done a lot better. Many bogeys were pointless and could have been avoided. I got a little ahead of myself because I thought the holes were easier than I actually thought and I tried to birdie to many rather than paring. But my 56 was good enough for 2nd place after the first round and first place was a 54. Going into the second round I played a safer game but Maybe a little to safe. But I had quite a few more errant shots the 2nd round. Not one birdie. All pars and 3 bogeys. Yet again I was upset I missed several semi difficult Birdie Putts. Bad upshots and some poor shot choices. But that second round to guys who shot 58s the first round shot 54s the second round Knocking me back 2 places for 5th instead of 3rd that really upset me. I really need to slow down a little more and practice my 200-280 ft shots I can throw far shots with all my arm but it seems I am having a tough time throwing these shorter drives. I was missing my beloved Star TL that would have helped a lot because the only really flippy disc I had was the Avengers SS and I need something slightly less flippy and for me thats the Star TL. But the tournament was alot of fun I had a blast. Well run Good people. With I had placed better but stuff happens. Better Luck next time I guess.
