The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Gary called many from our old group to play an "out of shape / sore arm doubles" in Easley. But by mid-morning it was sprinkling and misting, so very few showed up. We ended up with 6 players and Carla. Gary and his son Doug were there. Nathan and a fellow Wayne that I hadn't met before and Bill and Carla were there. We drew for partners. It was Bill and Nathan, Gary and Wayne, and Doug and me. I didn't play especially well, but I had a couple of good throws. The three groups were very evenly matched as we ended up with two groups tied with the other pair one stroke back. It was wet the whole way but it started raining on the 12th hole. We played 12 and 13 in the rain and teed off on 14 but the guys had enough rain by then.

It was good to be back out and I see that I really need to get out more and get back to playing.

I also heard that Steve-O is moving back to California, so we are losing a good player from the area. I have only played with him once, but I like him and he's a good player. He'll be missed.

Bill - I think that Stevo is going back to be close to his kids. Family trumps jobs - at least it does in my book. The neck doesn't hurt but I have a bad case of "dead arm" from it. Last summer the neck was in a lot of pain, but now it is just pinching a nerve that numbs my arm.

Nubian - Gary sent out an email to a group of us that used to play together quite a bit and he came up with the "out of shape . sore arm doubles." I agree with you that it was pretty funny.

He will be missed, I was lucky enough to play with him several times. I hadn't heard that yet, and I knew he recently found a job at Overhead Door but I guess it didn't work out, will call him soon.
Hope you're doing well, didn't see mention above of your neck hurting any- if so, glad to hear it :)
