What is the deal with black socks?

Why do you see all these disc golfers with black socks on? Does it make them putt better; or does it improve your drive? Mabey just to pick up on disc golf groupie chicks. I want to know the big secret.

Personally, I am more worried about my game; Not how dirty my socks are. Plus socks stay pretty clean if you keep your shoes on. Ha HA.

The reason I wear them is because I'd be going through hundreds of pairs of white socks if I didn't. Don't see the wear and tear of dirt from the course.

I look sexy in them, especially the knee high ones.....ha ha... i think if you get in some really gnarly spots, and you get kinda dirty you dont look as bad with black socks on opposed to white ones.

I wear mine because I want to be like Nate Sexton, ha ha ha, just kiddin' Nate. The seal skin keep your feet dry and the black don't look as dirty, especially when you play here in Oregon, where it is almost always wet!

I agree with Monster, my black socks are water proof. Obviously not a sock for every round, but a good addition for the occasional (see the whole of 2008's summer) rainy round.

If I wore white socks discin they would all turn brown.
Now if you want to talk about socks helping your game, or at least your body, the expensive $16/pr socks do fit better, warm and cool better, and provide better support and comfort.
