Why do you see all these disc golfers with black socks on? Does it make them putt better; or does it improve your drive? Mabey just to pick up on disc golf groupie chicks. I want to know the big secret.

My Black socks are me Seal Skin water proof socks. Though I have sported almost every color under the rainbow. I let my kids pick out my socks before I play Tournaments.

Dark colors attract most biting insects. What I think it really is that someone saw a Pro wearing them and decided to be like them.

Hmmm...I thought discers wore high sock for protection against some of mother natures undesirable greens. Like P.I.

It can get worse. In the summer I often wear knee high socks, usually white or black. I realize the fashion police can arrest me for this but at least the socks protect me from the leg irons.

yes, black socks shave 2 strokes every round, 1 for each foot.

I wear tan ankle-high socks when I play. I found them on clearance at Dunham's so I bought the last two packs they had. They hide the dirt a little better than white socks and they match my tan running shoes I wear when I play. Black socks - not for me.
