The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I drive to work as the sun rises and when i drive home its dark. The overtime is worth it...but i can only throw like once a week now. I can't believe nate doss can hold a full time job, go to school, and be the best. I'll be fine for now since its so cold out, but once it starts getting nice again this job is going to really start pissing me off I think. Can anyone relate to that? I would imagine there are tons of us disc golf junkies working all day, i'm just new to the crowd and need to know how to keep my game up.

I feel your pain man. I'm a full-time student at KVCC (yeah I'm in Kazoo) and between the shorter daylight hours, class, as snow I haven't been out even to Knollwood in more than two-weeks. In fact, last time I threw was during a three day trip to freakin' Georgia! Beautiful course down there though.

I think I hold the record for most jobs quit to go road trip to a tournament somewhere...although it was Ultimate road trips in those days.
Now that I'm older & self employed it's still difficult to juggle work, family & discin'. Well, things really haven't changed much...still no time to play. I pretty much attempt to play one tourney a month & try to get a round in sometime on the other weekends. I'll often not even touch a disc in between the last throw of one tournament & the first throw on the morning of the next.
During daylight savings time I do take off early from work one day each week to spend the evening playing a league round.
If you really want to improve & get some practice in, always keep a fw discs in the car & spend 15 - 30 minutes throwing on a lighted field on the way home. Just tossing a few, working on your timing & rhythm can help you feel more confident when you get a chance to play a round the next time.
