Oh i just had another thought, i hope you can find some other ladies to play a round with always much more fun and more relaxing guys tend to be to competitive mostly.
Not me i am a crappy player i play for the fun and when i really look for fun i run tournaments
I would offer you advice on newbies but it looks like they have it covered more or less. i don't know that the talk of throwing a putter 450' needs to be talked about to a newbie.
Other bits of advice i would give you. Don't buy discs because you like the color or art on them. Buy them for feel or possibly in your case because the weight lis lighter.
Practice in an open field is a great idea and go and play with people better then you or just walk and watch them.
But no matter what have fun!!!
