I'd be glad to play a round or two with you though I am still pretty much a novice but getting better.
If by "new course" you mean Alton Baker? There was the second public meeting last night (23rd) in Eugene where the discussion was pretty promising. It seems like the main issue is finding a concessionaire willing to enter into a contract with the city in order to accept fees (pay-to-play) and manage the course. It also appears to be a short term (5yr) course due to the original master plan for the park which never included a DG option, plus the anticipated "carrying capacity" sustainable as the park becomes further developed in the coming years. We'll see.
Or perhaps you meant the 9 hole Christian College course which has been completed on their campus near Churchill High School off Bailey Hill Road. <This is a nice, moderately technical short course which is a great addition to the area and should help relieve some of the pressure on Westmoreland. Of course by the time you come back to Oregon, Dexter should also be newlike due to massive changes occurring there. The new park ranger has developed an Oak rehabilitation management plan which includes cutting many, many trees and even eliminating some of the alternate pin placements. Many trees have already been cut and more are slated to go which will certainly change the character of this course. :(
Re: Crunch Box.
I've got to get some 'play' monies together before I can buy, but when I do I'll get back to you.
Enjoy the Hawaii weather. We're supposed to get 2-4 inches of snow here in the Willamette Valley in the next 24-48 hrs.
Update on the putters:Both hit chains well within the 25 ft range for me.However,if you hit metal they will ROLL almost back to your starting putt area.Short game seems to be off/on at present.Arthritic wrist could be main problem,but a bad day on the dg course is better then bad at work;>}
My condolences to you and family on your family loss.
On a bright note,thanks for the discs.recieved them in the mail today.They both helped my putting game right off the toss;>}I've been putting,using the Mark Ellis 5th one counts putting game.Not only did they hit chain,but grabbed the basket rim and fell inside!Four different sets of 6 putts each,5th one only really counts.3 out of the 4 sets had both putters grab chain and stay.Big improvement for my putting.
Outside rim is simialr to the ABCDiscs money putter,but grippier.Relic bead is similar to the money putterHard inner plastic similar to the Wizzard&Zone.Other reliable putters Iv'e always had are the Aviar &Pro Challenger putters.Posted on the rip disc site here on DGRus for additional read.hope that the PDGA finds these discs to there liking,legalize and will be in my bag along with other discs you have in the future.Best of luck bro.You're on track.Peace,mr ed
