The owner of Tahoe Mountain Sports is taking it over. I will be helpig him get going and doing the day of event stuff like anouncements and scorekeeping. That was my plan all along. So far the Hula Bowl isn't gonna happen this year, but I will more than likely do something next year at the new Tahoe Donner course. That will be the "Mother of all Tahoe Courses". I'll let you know when we get started on it. Sometime in May
Well Ron,
I did the 2 events for 2 years. No one even remotely had an interest in joining as a staff member or taking over any responsibilities. I was hoping to groom someone else to take over.
At Bijou I built a strong staff that took over in 99. It was my master plan. I then moved onto Zephyr (99) then to Truckee (00). They lasted until 2003 with four straight Super Tours. Disc golfers have a habbit of burning out volunteer TDs. And that's what happened. Now we have what there is. Lame tournaments.
Both sponsors for the Sports Exchange Hula Bowl and Tahoe Mountain Sports Pro/Am made money off the events. I don't make a dime. It only costs me time and my own money. They may try and pick it up. I hope so. I need to move on and build Markleeville, improve Zephyr and Vista and work on my own game. That's quite a workload right there.
So, I will support the King of the Lake. I wouldn't even go to the Tahoe Pro/Am. That was lame last year. I want to play St. Pat's, Beaver State Fling, Worlds, and Sollitude in Utah. It should be a great year.
However, look for a possible fund raiser at Turtle Rock in Markleeville.
Check the 9 forum. You'll get a laugh at my last post.

Thanks Ron,
I'm not running those events next year. Sorry, I'm taking next year off so I can play more myself, and build another course in Markleeville. See my post in the final9 forum. A little controversy over Mosquito got me off the couch.

ha... I did invest in a fold-up basket a few months back and yes, that's pretty much essential. Still a long way to go... Great tahoe pics - I need to get up there.
