I am still up in the air about playing. I think that I would have more fun running around on a cart and kayaking during the day. I will keep on pushing you to get in that RV and come on down .There are also some killer deals on Spirit Flights into Orlando right now. I saw some for 13 bucks each way. I can always pick you up from the airport and take you to Crystal River. Hope all is well.
Sorry about your injury! Get on the RV and get your butt down to FL for the TPC. I will be there all 3 days having some fun. I am going to bring my kayaks so whomever wants to do some yaking in the springs will be able to!!! We love it over there. We have been hanging out at Homassasa every so often, so we are looking forward to the weekend. Let me know if you are coming down.
Sarah,
Good, you got your surgery right away. As far as the arnica went I was taking these tiny little pills under the tongue 2Xper day. I think I was taking 6-8 at a time. In addtion to that I was also taking symphytum. It promotes bone/periostium recovery. I really think that it helped. Maybe also supplement with a natural coral calcium for bone strength. You may want to look into bromelain, or a combo bromelain/papain. They are dirrivatives of pineapple and papaya and based on the principal of eliminating the bodys ability to produce inflammation in the stomach where it is manufactured. If you read about it, it has amazing results, and can even cut the need for western major anti-inflammatories. I stayed on the arnica and symphytum for about 6 months, but still continue the bromelain/papain, coral calcium on a daily basis.
I hope this has helped you. Remeber I had 7 screws and a plate and was playing the Tobaggon in 12 weeks! Running downhill on wet grass! Yikes!
You can do it! Don't know what your surgeon said, but mine told me not to touch my foot to the ground for ANY reason for 3 weeks. Think it worked.
Be well, and in touch!
Sheila
Hey Sarah. I'm sure that we haven't met yet. So, first things first, it is nice to meet you. It seems that girls respond faster than guys, who knew. I invited mostly Michigan folk to relay information about local tournaments and events. I;m sorry to read that you recently broke your leg and that you may have surgery. I hope that you recovery goes well. Coexist in peace!
Sarah,
How it going? Did you have surgery yet? If you haven't, start taking arnica montana. It's really helpful for relieving trauma. Stop taking right before surgery, then resume right after, remeber getting cut on is trauma too, and it keeps down the bruising. Let me know whats going on and how your feeling.
SK
what up Sarah? How did you brake your leg? give me a call and we can hang. I am just running around today (Monday) so if your not doing anything and want to chill give me a ring! peace love and chicken grease. Keep your leg elevated.
Hey I read on Josh's page you broke your leg yesterday. BUMMER! Are you having surgery? When? Let me know I think I can help you when it's time to re-hab.Listen to the docs, don't push itand you'll be fine.
Be in touch!
Sheila

On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am honored to announce her inaugural ladies-only disc golf event: Juliana Korver Presents La Vie en Rose.
This unique event will take place February 14-15, 2009
at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL.
In Juliana’s words:
"Are you curious why this disc golf adventure has the name that it does? Literally La Vie en Rose translates to “the life in rose”. The English equivalent to this is “life through rose-tinted glasses” or even “life is rosy”.
If someone looks at something through rose-tinted glasses, they see only the pleasant parts of it. It is a way of life. It is an attitude that I aspire to maintain.
La Vie en Rose is a disc golf event that intends to combine many of the pleasant tournament aspects that we have experienced over the years as well as present new ones that will create a wonderful, memorable and rosy weekend.
This event is about warm fuzzies, feeling good and friendship. I hope that you all can experience the weekend through rose-tinted glasses and perhaps even take the attitude home with you to help you appreciate all that is good in life.
This will truly be a unique weekend that I hope and expect you will love."
Juliana has made the initial event announcement in person at the U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championships and on the PDGA discussion board. For lots more information and to post your support, please visit this discussion thread, which will provide a link to the official tournament website:
Shawn Harrigan and I are the Co-TD’s for this event. We’d love to have your input, assistance, and sponsorship. Please e-mail mritner@yahoo.com if you are inclined to help Florida welcome the ladies of disc golf to a wonderful weekend of competition and comradery.
