So, Abe is Barber Shop (thanks for the heads up Don)...I also live (...well on the weekends...) in Glenpool. We will have to take out our baskets (I have an InStep basket) sometime ...to... somewhere in the "Poo" and play DG.
Abe thanks for coming down. Could not have pulled it off with out your baskets and help. Thanks again. Congrats on tearing up the field. You played awesome it was a pleasure watching you work. we will have to do it again :)
the creek shot is just for the photo. One hole does play over a pond and one hole 600' plays along the creek. with the creek being ob. yea can't wait any time you want to come and give it a preview let me know we will hook up.
Course has been expanded and Its going to be fun. The land owner has given me the entire front pasture. The tourney is going to be 6-13-09. Look at tourney LS disc & Rio Don Do Drowning Creek Classic. I have been playing the course to stumps etc. just to get the layout down. The pond has already claimed two. Check out the photos on my page. I carried a basket around to get some pics. I am counting on your baskets. LOL
The Kapalua coures is a little windy at times. Poli has no wind. So bring a couple with you. If you play at Poli, it's at 5000ft plus elev. I use 160 weight disc or lighter.
Aloha, there are players out there everyday. If you would like to hook up with the regs. Steve, Marko give me a call when your here. Also on the 8th is are monthly at Poli. Aloha, Alan. 808-283-9756
Hi! I seldom play in tournaments since I changed jobs in 2004. My focus is recreational Disc Golf and promoting the sport through my Blog and YOUTUBE videos. Hard to say how many Aces I avg a month. Depends on the year and the month and how often I get out to play. Just getting out to play is a blessing.
hey so the wii game is cool for disc golf so i can get it now and have something to doin the winter time. so you can pick your disc or it picks them for you so many thing to ask you like it putting hard hope to hear from you .
What you can do for games is a function of the space, equipment and efforts you want to put in.
Let me assume, "some but not a lot" for the ingredients. Take two portable basket, using one for unsupervised putting. The other put 200 feet away (if it can be set up safely, planning on shanked shots) with a sign that says win a free disc if you make the long shot. Have a bunch of used discs for folks to shoot with. What disc do they win? The disc they shot into the basket.
Have a couple players to teach throwing form to anyone interested. With an interested audience you could "challenge the pro" in a ctp contest. Give the Pro one shot and his challenger 3. Or give the challenger one shot and make the pro throw a roller.
If you had the space and a good female Pro, a "challenge the chick to a distance contest" could be entertaining.
Offer a new car to a challenger who can beat the pro in a ctp, make the pro throw first then give the challenger a paper plate.
Be flexible and invent games depending on who shows up and what their level is. Good luck.
Abraham, thanks for the offer to be a spotter. I will put you on the list. As of now, you are the list, if you know of anyone else who might want to help, please have them get in touch, thanks.
