Hey, Krista. I assume you were riding shotgun when I saw the Bluemobile coming to the BEP last weekend. Y'all like the new tee markers on the back nine? The course is getting more finished, so hopefully we can put some more energy into the Memorial and Machmueller courses now.
yeah it's that time of year when the fever really starts to set in...I see some guys down here on the course during some really frigid weather...I guess I'm just not that hardcore...if I can't feel my disc cause my fingers are numb...anyway not sure when we will be in wausau next...we were only there for a couple days before christmas..I wish we would have had more time to see some friends...so are we still doing highbridge on the same week june 21...i'll make sure willy knows and I was going to call ben this week...I havn't talked to him since late july...well have a good one it's got to warm up sooner or later, peace
Hey, Krista, Happy New Year to you and Darren, too. I'm seven weeks post surgery and getting better all the time (maybe not bionic just yet). Jeff Schipf and I threw 27 holes at the BEP a couple of weeks ago and my lefty game is getting better.
Any chance some of the Wausau gang is coming to the Snow Bowl? Even if people can't play, I'll pay 'em to spot some holes for me.
Nice, all purple discs. I like it. I also saw that basket you are standing by at worlds last year at Highbridge. Too bad it is not purple, lol.

On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am honored to announce her inaugural ladies-only disc golf event: Juliana Korver Presents La Vie en Rose.
This unique event will take place February 14-15, 2009
at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL.
In Juliana’s words:
"Are you curious why this disc golf adventure has the name that it does? Literally La Vie en Rose translates to “the life in rose”. The English equivalent to this is “life through rose-tinted glasses” or even “life is rosy”.
If someone looks at something through rose-tinted glasses, they see only the pleasant parts of it. It is a way of life. It is an attitude that I aspire to maintain.
La Vie en Rose is a disc golf event that intends to combine many of the pleasant tournament aspects that we have experienced over the years as well as present new ones that will create a wonderful, memorable and rosy weekend.
This event is about warm fuzzies, feeling good and friendship. I hope that you all can experience the weekend through rose-tinted glasses and perhaps even take the attitude home with you to help you appreciate all that is good in life.
This will truly be a unique weekend that I hope and expect you will love."
Juliana has made the initial event announcement in person at the U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championships and on the PDGA discussion board. For lots more information and to post your support, please visit this discussion thread, which will provide a link to the official tournament website:
Shawn Harrigan and I are the Co-TD’s for this event. We’d love to have your input, assistance, and sponsorship. Please e-mail mritner@yahoo.com if you are inclined to help Florida welcome the ladies of disc golf to a wonderful weekend of competition and comradery.
