Hello my wonderful WDGA friends,
Cheryl Eldridge here.
I have been scarce I know. This has been
a really unusual 9 months for me. If you
are my true friend you will understand.
The WDGA had been my main focus for
two years prior as you all know. Well
then things began to happen in my life
unrelated to the WDGA and well,... related
as well. In a nutshell, I have withdrawn
from most 'WDGA' activitity and other
activitity due to personal issues I am
trying to work through. All is family
related. I will allow the WDGA website
to run as long as the collected member
funds ($200) lasts. I have to pay the webserver
fees each month for our main website.

Our WDGA Patent is in question. I received a
letter a few months ago stating a request for
$100 in order to keep it active. I thought, - and still
think that letter may have been 'spam'.
Nevertheless, if it is not 'spam' we owe
the US Patent $100, and may have lost
the WDGA title already.
I fully intend to get
back into the swing of things someday.
I will share a couple things with you. My
Daddy passed away in July 2007 and I have
not come to terms with it yet. My Aunt is now
suffering with heart disease. She has been in
the hospital for 5 months now consequitivly. I
have been rotating with other family members
during her ICU stay. She is finally making improvements,
Thank God!!!!!!!
I fully intend to care for her and visit her at her home
daily after my regular job if she ever gets to go home.
She is only 55 years old. A young woman in her prime, -
and I love her. She is my "Mother's (passed)"
baby sister.
I love you all and asks that you bare with me. It may
take a while for me to get back to normal.
Pray, Pray, Pray, for me please. Pray, Pray, Pray, and
Pray for my family as well, please.
I would ask about Bowling Green as well but apparently they don't do a good job of promoting women's disc golf and locked the intermediate field with only 6 ladies. You would have thought they would have left us a little room for a field instead of letting int. and rec men take up all the spots on first come. ;-( Some women don't realize how quick it fills up and have been turned away. Glad I at least got in.
Cheryl i assume or hope you remember who i am. i have tryed to help promote your efforts for women disc golfers, and i hope you promote mine. i run the femillz open in MI for ladies only, and you run similar attempts in the southeast. i hope you will ask other ladies even if they can't make it to the Femillz event to join my group as i do with your efforts.
I know we need to promote female's playing disc golf.
My day was just ok, issues with work stuff. I think I've shaken that off though. It's good to see you on here and hopefully looking forward to actually meeting you in September in Huntsville! YAH!
Cheryl, I want to invite you to our Lions Club Charity Classic in Athens, AL on 2/23/08. I think we will have a good group of women playing, we would like to have you here as well.
i just played ice bowl in spokane wa and there was about 2+ feet of snow. i was wandering what it was like for you where you are at and if you participated in it.

Missed you in Nooga, but I can understand you not being an active player right now. We did have 11 Int. Women in the field though!
